BOSTON, Massachusetts — The Boston Celtics inked forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis to a new contract on Monday worth a reported 6.3 million dollars.
Davis, 23, had been a restricted free agent. He averaged 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in 76 regular-season games last season, but increased those totals to 15.8 and 5.6 in 14 postseason contests.
"Glen has been a big part of our success for the past two years, and we are very excited to have him back," said team president of basketball operations Danny Ainge.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed by the team, but The Boston Globe reported the deal was for two years and worth 6.3 million dollars.
