LeBron drains shot, promises shoes to Ill. kids

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - About 50 central Illinois kids are waiting for new Nikes courtesy of LeBron James.

The NBA star told children gathered Monday at State Farm Insurance's headquarters in Bloomington that he'd buy the shoes if he made a half-court shot.

James drained the shot, leaving State Farm employees to scramble to get shoe sizes for all of the kids.

James signed a deal with State Farm last year to be help promote the company.

He was in Bloomington on Monday to promote his new movie "More than a Game." The film documents James' high school playing days in Akron, Ohio. It's scheduled to be released Oct. 2.
